Abridged Bio

Ekko

Ekko is a brilliant, resourceful boy from the undercity of Zaun who was forced to grow into a determined leader. As a child, he tinkered with gadgets and fiercely loyal to his friends, especially Powder (later Jinx) and Vi. After the tragic events that tear them apart, Ekko survives and eventually becomes the leader of the Firelights, a group that resists Silco’s control and the spread of shimmer. He’s inventive, courageous, and driven by a desire to protect his people and reclaim hope for Zaun, though in the end, he's not the hero, and he doesn't get the happy ending.

Quick Thinking & Tactical Mind: Ekko shows strong leadership and quick decision-making. In the Firelight ambushes, he sets traps and directs his crew with precision, showing his ability to outmaneuver stronger enemies.

Agility: He’s fast and agile, darting across rooftops, swinging from ropes, and weaving through tight spaces in Zaun. He shown to have exceptional reaction time even without his z-drive.

Combat Skills: Ekko uses a modified bat/staff as his weapon. He fights with a mix of speed, agility, and clever improvisation. He’s not brute-force strong but uses momentum and creativity to his advantage.

Engineering: He tinkers with tech and creates gear, like his hoverboard-like device and Firelight masks. His mechanical creativity reflects his “boy genius” side from Zaun.

Chronobreak: Using his z-drive Ekko rewinds time by 4 seconds. He can push it longer, but at a cost that will have detrimental effects on himself and surroundings.
